Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
- Ensure all dishes meet Meshakeek Shaikha’s quality, taste, and presentation standards
- Supervise grill and kitchen staff during service
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen sections
Food Quality & Preparation
- Maintain consistency in recipes, portioning, and plating
- Oversee prep, marination, grilling, and service execution
- Conduct regular quality checks on food and ingredients
Hygiene & Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
Team Leadership
- Train, guide, and motivate kitchen staff
- Support staff scheduling and shift coverage
- Lead by example during peak service hours
Inventory & Cost Control
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
- Monitor food costs and support cost-control initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie (preferably in grill or Middle Eastern cuisine)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for quality food and consistency
