Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Ensure all dishes meet Meshakeek Shaikha’s quality, taste, and presentation standards
  • Supervise grill and kitchen staff during service
  • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen sections

Food Quality & Preparation

  • Maintain consistency in recipes, portioning, and plating
  • Oversee prep, marination, grilling, and service execution
  • Conduct regular quality checks on food and ingredients

Hygiene & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients

Team Leadership

  • Train, guide, and motivate kitchen staff
  • Support staff scheduling and shift coverage
  • Lead by example during peak service hours

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
  • Monitor food costs and support cost-control initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie (preferably in grill or Middle Eastern cuisine)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for quality food and consistency
