Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage inventory levels, control food costs, and oversee food storage to minimize waste
  • Assist with menu planning, ensuring a variety of appealing options that meet dietary requirements
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards across all kitchen activities
  • Lead catering and banquet food preparation, coordinating with event staff for seamless service
  • Oversee daily shift management, including delegating tasks and monitoring team performance
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing menu items
  • Ensure consistent quality control during food production and service delivery

Skills

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong culinary skills
  • Supervising experience in a busy kitchen environment with team management capabilities
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices
  • Skilled in inventory management, control, and food handling procedures
  • Experience with banquet service, catering, and large-scale event food production
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service
  • Strong background in menu planning, kitchen management, and shift coordination
  • Familiarity with dietary department requirements and special dietary accommodations
  • Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines, including food preparation and presentation
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, food service management, and hospitality best practices

Pay: From $24.22 per hour
