Summary:
The Cook III is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner. The Cook III must have experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Using designated ingredients to create appealing and flavorful dishes.
- Using portion and presentation standards to create appealing and flavorful dishes.
- Preparing unique dishes to fulfill customer requests.
- Ensuring food is cooked sufficiently, checking the temperature of food and appliances, and following all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Washing and disinfecting the kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Consulting with supervisory staff to plan menus.
- Purchasing food or other supplies as needed.
- Maintaining temperature logs on all foods served, and other applicable documentation.
- Assist in the break down/cleaning of station at the end of each meal prepared and at end of shift.
- Avoid waste through the proper preparation and storage of food.
- Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Must have at least two years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen.
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to stand for most of the shift.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
