Sous Job Description:

We are looking for a Sous Chef committed to serving our guests with our amazing crew. Sous chefs assist and collaborate with the chefs and kitchen staff while cultivating a supportive environment for their team members and shift leads, prioritizing the importance of teamwork and guest experience.

Sous chef reports to their Executive Chef and collaborates closely with upper management to effectively perform their duties and drive the business towards continued success.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in the hiring process and recruitment of talent by conducting in person interviews
• Develop internal training documents and SOPs
• Guide internal development of the BOH team through the managerial pipeline, ensuring effective performance management and performance reviews.
• Support product and inventory management, including product launches and promotions
• Ensure compliance to health and safety standards established by federal and local regulations.
• Monitor and budget costs and labor in comparison to sales
• Attend regular meetings with Upper Management and ownership to discuss store performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement

Job Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as serve guests using the proper techniques
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Food Safety Manager Card, granted by ServSafe
