Sous Chef – Thai Cuisine

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef specialized in Thai Cuisine in managing daily kitchen operations, maintaining authentic Thai food standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen performance. The ideal candidate must be locally available in Bahrain and ready for immediate joining.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Prepare and supervise authentic Thai dishes ensuring consistency and quality
  • Maintain food presentation, taste standards, and portion control
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate workflow during service hours
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Monitor stock levels, food costing, and minimize wastage
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff and cooks
  • Support menu development and recipe standardization
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in Thai cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of authentic Thai cooking techniques and ingredients
  • Experience working in high-volume restaurant operations
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Locally available in Bahrain
  • Ready to join immediately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary certification or professional cooking training
  • Experience in Asian or Thai specialty restaurants
