Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate South Indian Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine and be able to prepare a variety of traditional dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare authentic South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, sambar, chutneys, biryani, and other regional specialties.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards.
  • Manage food preparation and cooking activities efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen according to food safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering kitchen supplies.
  • Minimize food waste and control food costs.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a South Indian Cook or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional South Indian recipes and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to prepare meals in high-volume kitchen environments.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary certification or relevant training.
  • Experience in restaurant, hotel, catering, or cafeteria kitchens.
  • Knowledge of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian South Indian cuisine.
