South & North Indian Senior Cook (Bulk Cooking)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Cook specializing in South Indian and North Indian cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of traditional recipes, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of authentic South Indian and North Indian dishes.
  • Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and quality of food.
  • Plan daily food production and coordinate with kitchen staff.
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with regulations.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
  • Minimize food waste and control kitchen costs.
  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a cook specializing in South Indian and North Indian cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of curries, biryanis, tandoori items, dosas, idlis, chutneys, gravies, and other regional specialties.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary certification or relevant training.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering operations.
  • Ability to manage kitchen staff and operations independently.
