Job Purpose:
The Business Development Engineer is a dynamic and results-oriented professional responsible for driving the company’s growth by developing innovative business strategies, identifying new market opportunities, and enhancing sales performance This role combines technical knowledge with business acumen, requiring a proactive approach to market research, customer relationship management, and process optimization The Business Development Engineer will play a key role in strengthening the company’s competitive position, enhancing the efficiency of internal systems, and fostering long-term client relationships
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, formulate and implement innovative and data-driven business strategies to drive growth and expand the company's market presence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategies align with organizational goals and customer needs
- Lead comprehensive market research initiatives to identify industry trends, customer demands, and competitor activities
- Analyze market data to uncover new business opportunities and inform strategic decision-making
- Create and Deliver Sales Presentations
- Develop tailored sales pitches and presentations for prospective clients, highlighting key product features, benefits, and value propositions
- Support the sales team with high-impact communication strategies to enhance customer engagement and conversion rates
- Onboard and Train New Hires in After-Sales Skills
- Conduct onboarding sessions and training programs to equip new hires with the necessary after-sales skills and product knowledge
- Ensure continuous professional development by providing ongoing training and mentorship to optimize team performance
- Identify and Cultivate New Sales Opportunities
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales potentials in emerging markets, industries, and customer segments
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to generate long-term business opportunities
- Monitor and Report on Customer Performance
- Assess customer performance through the Flop & White Spots criteria to identify areas of opportunity and concern
- Prepare detailed performance reports and provide actionable insights to senior management for improvement
- Continuously enhance the ERP system to ensure seamless integration with sales, marketing, and operational processes
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement system improvements that increase efficiency and data accuracy
- Monitor SLOBS Inventory and Develop Sales Plans
- Closely monitor Slow-Moving and Obsolete (SLOBS) inventory to minimize financial impact and optimize stock turnover
- Design and execute targeted sales plans to address SLOBS items and improve the overall inventory management
- Analyze Sector Performance and Report Insights
- Conduct regular sector performance analyses, using data-driven insights to evaluate market trends and company performance
- Provide actionable reports to management, offering strategic recommendations for market positioning and growth
Job Skills and Abilities:
- Strong Automotive background
- Knowledge with Mercedes EPC is preferred
Good Knowledge with supply chain procedures is preferred-
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; preferably Mechanical
- 3-5 years of experience
