We are in search of a Research Administration Assistant to join our team in the Finance-Sponsored Programs office. You will be part of a unit that covers multiple administrative and compliance related responsibilities, serving both internal and external customers. The Research Administration Assistant position provides support for Sponsored Programs' Reporting, Customer Service, and Office of Contract Administration areas that form a central base for managing thousands of research Grants and Contracts, ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines.
Starting Salary: $51,500
You will focus on the review of Uniform Guidance (UG) expenditures in comparison with approved federally sponsored projects' budgets and provide policy and procedure interpretation to university departments surrounding the UG requirements. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the grant management lifecycle in the University's research enterprise. These tasks may include review of sub recipient invoices, processing of new sub project requests, review of Federal Fly America Act travel expenditures, and potential exposure to the pre- and post-award administrative process of the National Research Service Awards (NRSA) for training and fellowships grants.

The work requirements allow for the majority or all of the work to be completed offsite. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements, but is not generally scheduled on a recurring basis.
This is a full-time 40 hour work week position, Monday through Friday.
