The Spa Therapist is responsible for delivering a range of spa treatments and therapies to guests, promoting relaxation, restoration, and overall well-being. Reporting to the Director of Spa, the Spa Therapist ensures exceptional guest experiences through quality treatments, in-depth knowledge and advising in respect of spa procedures and products, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform a variety of spa treatments and therapies, including massages, facials, body scrubs, wraps, and other specialized treatments.
Conduct thorough consultations with guests to assess their health history, preferences, and treatment goals.
Recommend appropriate spa treatments and therapies based on assessments and guest preferences.
Provide exceptional guest service and ensure guest comfort throughout spa treatments.
Educate guests on the benefits of spa treatments, skincare products, and wellness practices to enhance their overall experience and promote home care routines.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in treatment rooms, equipment, and common areas according to spa protocols and industry standards.
Follow proper disinfection and sterilization procedures for equipment and tools after each use.
Demonstrate knowledge of spa products, including skincare, aromatherapy oils, and wellness products.
Recommend and promote retail products to guests, explaining their benefits and uses for ongoing skincare and wellness maintenance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment notes, preferences, and product recommendations.
Prepare treatment rooms before each guest arrival and ensure all supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for use.
Stay informed about current spa trends, techniques, and industry best practices through training, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews as required by spa management.
Flexibility with working schedule to support the needs of the spa.
Understanding of cost control by using proper amounts of products.
Ensures that all products used are kept to the manufacturer specification.
Actively promotes the spa, treatments, services as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.

Certification or diploma in Massage Therapy, Aesthetics, Spa Therapy, or a related field. Additional certifications in specialized treatments (e.g., hot stone massage, aromatherapy) is an advantage.
Previous SPA therapist experience is an advantage.
