Spa Therapist

Job Overview:

The spa therapist is accountable for ensuring that all guests receive requested treatments and service in accordance with the spa’s standards of excellence

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide a level of service that exceeds all guest expectations by completing all treatments in a consistently thorough manner, in the time allocated and by treating all clients with individual attention

2. Respond to all client requests in a courteous manner

3. Spa Therapist must complete client’s consultation before each treatment.

4. Ensure treatment rooms are kept clean and tidy according to spa checklist and health and safety standards.

5. Monitor the status of all equipment and notify the supervisor if there are any maintenance or repair need. Promptly record equipment issues in the logbook. i.e. fixtures are missing, etc.

6. Restock professional products in designated treatment room to ensure that the rooms are fully stocked

7. Ensure effective liaison between therapists, receptionists and spa attendants

8. Act in accordance with policies and procedures

9. Provide first class facial, body treatments and massage

10. Promote the sales of products within the spa and meet specified targets

11. Co-operate with spa reception to ensure guests receive excellent treatment and service

12. Clean and prepare treatment beds and rooms before and after each client and always ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the treatment rooms

13. Participate in ongoing training within or outside the spa

14. Respect instructions given by the management concerning usage of products and amenities

15. Keep up to date with all current activities and promotions within the spa

16. Help in ongoing promotions and assist in services, product sales

17. Ensure the spa’s standards of service and facilities are always met

18. Carry out other tasks assigned by your supervisors.

4. Making sure all customer requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively.

5. Having detailed knowledge of department Standards and operating procedures.

6. Develops positive working relationships at all levels.

Key Qualities & Skills Required:

1. Grade 2 certificate in Beauty or Body treatment

2. Must have knowledge in Tui Na, Swedish, Aromatherapy massage,

Facial and Hamman

3. Experience in beauty treatments such as eyebrow shaping, waxing, and makeup

4. advantage if specializing in facial & Hamman

5. Secondary education or equivalent Cideso or Itec beauty certificate

6. Min. 2 years working experience as a Beauty or Body therapist

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to BD250.000 per month
