The Spa Therapist is responsible for delivering a variety of high-quality of therapeutic spa treatments to the guests, ensuring a high standard of service, comfort, and relaxation. The therapist must deliver personalized treatments, offer expert advice on skincare, and create a calming environment for guests to enjoy their experience.
Responsibilities
- Administer massages (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy) and body treatments (e.g., scrubs, wraps, and detoxifying treatments).
- Provide additional wellness treatments, such as reflexology, hot stone therapy, or any other specialty treatments offered by the spa.
- Conduct consultations with clients before treatments to understand their needs, preferences, and any contraindications (e.g., allergies, medical conditions).
- Offer advice on appropriate spa treatments based on clients' individual requirements.
- Ensure clients are comfortable and relaxed during treatments, creating a calming environment with soothing music, lighting, and temperature control.
- Provide professional and empathetic service, ensuring clients feel pampered and rejuvenated.
- Recommend skincare products and treatments based on client needs and preferences.
- Advise clients on aftercare and how to maintain the benefits of their treatments at home.
- Promote spa products and services to clients, contributing to retail sales.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace, including treatment rooms, massage tables, and equipment.
- Sterilize equipment and tools between treatments in accordance with safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure linens and towels are properly sanitized and replenished as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment history, preferences, and any health concerns discussed during consultations.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and stay updated with the latest spa treatments and techniques.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices, client health screening, and emergency procedures.
- Ensure that all treatments are performed with the safety of the client in mind and report any health concerns to management.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management to support the effective operation of the department and the broader goals of the property.
Physical Requirements
