Spare Part Manager


The Spare Part Manager plays a strategic and leadership role in ensuring the continuous availability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of spare parts operations within the factory. The role will be leading the spare parts planning, procurement, and optimization processes in alignment with maintenance and production strategies, aiming to maximize equipment uptime while minimizing inventory and cost. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, analytical mindset, and leadership capability to manage a cross-functional spare parts team, ensure supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Position:

The Spare Part Manager will be responsible for the following processes:


Spare Parts Supply & Spare Part Warehouse Management:

Expertise in managing the end-to-end supply of spare parts and production consumables, overseeing warehouse operations and stock control, initiating requisitions based on needs and defined stock levels, and ensuring timely, accurate completion of procurement and storage processes.

IWS Integration of Spare Part Management:

Managing the Spare Parts functions as a department by applying IWS tools; overseeing the Spare Part DDS cycle; and demonstrating expertise in PM Pillar DMS & SWPs (BDE, MP&S, Storeroom, MMIS, MCM, Shop Tools & Facilities).

Inventory & Cost Control:

Strong ability to monitor spare parts inventory levels and costs, analyze stock quantities and usage trends, and coordinate with Maintenance & Repair teams to define actions to achieve monthly and annual inventory targets.

System & Process Accuracy:

Proficiency in tracking spare parts entries, consumption, and dispatch movements recorded by the spare parts team, providing guidance when needed, and ensuring alignment between physical and system stock levels.

Supplier, Contract & Localization Management:

Skilled in coordinating spare parts manufacturing, repairs, and material procurement processes with local and global suppliers; experienced in preparing reports on spare parts, spare groups, and consumables within the scope of supplier contracts (e.g., APS, APP), and in leading spare parts localization initiatives to identify and develop local sourcing opportunities.

Stakeholder Communication:

Ability to maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to expedite procurement processes for urgent work orders, gather technical information, and take timely action to prevent potential production losses.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Competent in conducting routine analyses of spare parts costs, procurement processes, inventory management, repairs, and manufacturing activities, and delivering accurate reports to management and relevant departments.

Continuous Improvement:

Actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing ideas and implementing process enhancements in spare parts management and related activities.

Requirements:

  • University degree (preferably) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Electronical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Advanced level of English knowledge.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Maintenance, Spare Parts Management, or related fields, preferably in manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, cost control, and spare parts optimization.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning strategies, IWS principles, Storeroom SWP knowledge and experience are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance operational urgency with long-term strategic improvements.
  • Actively using MS office applications, SAP, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
