Spare Parts Advisor/ Sales

Job Summary

The Spare Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting customers and workshop staff with automotive spare parts identification, ordering, sales, inventory coordination, and delivery. The role ensures timely availability of genuine and aftermarket parts while maintaining high customer service standards and accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers and technicians in identifying required automotive spare parts.
• Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales orders for parts sales.
• Receive and process spare parts requests from workshop and retail customers.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for parts ordering and availability.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management about fast-moving and non-moving items.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of spare parts.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions in the system.
• Verify received parts against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
• Promote genuine parts and upsell related products when applicable.
• Coordinate with the workshop team to ensure timely parts supply for vehicle repairs.
• Conduct periodic inventory checks and support stock audits.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts department.
• Follow company policies, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in automotive spare parts operations.
• Good knowledge of automotive components and parts catalogs.
• Experience using ERP/DMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Good organizational and inventory management skills.
• Knowledge of genuine and aftermarket automotive parts is an advantage.
