What you’ll do at Ather:


  • Manage Supply, Ensure Fulfillment for all the categories and Inventory Planning. Benchmark competitor practices and implement best practices at Ather.
  • Coordinate with the Sales team, finalize data driven Projected demand, plan capacity for spares and ensure timely delivery reducing the turnaround time.
  • Work with supplier managers to ensure fulfilment, address concerns in the red list and plan for activities like packaging implementation, PSS signoff etc.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and analyze procurement costs for the PnL. Develop and manage the spares procurement budget.


Drive Communications


  • Drive internal communications for Spares team meetings and other internal communications at major milestones
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders in the spares swimlanes to drive projects and ensure implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and conduct reviews. Address issues and drive VAVEs to improve lead times, costs, and quality.


Implement Processes


  • Streamline established spares processes by identifying process gaps in the As-Is conditions and performing continuous improvement for the same.
  • Publish process documents for spares specific procurement process and deviation matrix.


You bring to Ather:


  • Overall procurement experience of 6-8 years with 3-5 years of experience in spare parts procurement, preferably in the automotive or two-wheeler industry. EV industry experience is a plus.
  • B. E./ B.Tech. in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical/ECE/EEE/. A Masters degree would be a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of two-wheeler spare parts.
  • Proven experience in supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, with reference to EV competitors.
