Special Education Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for ELEMENTARY Site at QUEENS, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs. The Special Education Teacher will work collaboratively with parents, staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide direct, individualized, and small-group instruction using modified teaching methods and materials to meet diverse needs
• Modify lessons, assignments, and curriculum to make them accessible and appropriate for students with disabilities
• Work with parents, general education teachers, school counselors, speech therapists, and other support staff to create comprehensive intervention plans and ensure smooth integration into the general education environment
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.

Qualifications!

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree
• NY State SPED License
