Special Education Teacher

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (M/M M/S) to join our educational team in Galt, CA.

Position: Special Education Teacher (M/M M/S)
Location: Galt, CA
Duration: The whole school year – 180 days
Days per Week: 5
Schedule: 5x7 OR 5x8
Guaranteed Hours: Between 35- 40 hrs/week

Duties

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support student development.
• Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, and behavioral therapy strategies.
• Employ learning technology and adaptive resources to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Provide early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support in their learning journey.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations, adjusting instructional methods as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with children with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60.80 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
