Special Education Teacher

Every Special Child Is seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team in Oakland, CA. We have the following requirements:

• 2 Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe Special Education Resource Teacher (RSP)
• Age group: Multiple
• Start date: ASAP
• End Date: June 2026

Job Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for teaching groups of students.
• Meet each student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans to their specific needs.
• You will also discuss with parents and support staff to meet students’ progress.
• Adapt learning materials to students’ needs, ability to create IEPs
• Keep track of and reflect on students’ progress
• Monitor children’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
• Prepare students for the transition to the next grade
• Coach/mentor other professionals who work with children with disabilities
• Collaborate with the support staff
• All other duties related to the program.

Requirements:

• Valid California Mild/Moderate or Learning Handicapped (LH) Education Specialist License or Moderate/ Severe
• 1+ years of working experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree with an emphasis in special education preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
