Job Title: Virtual Homebound Special Education Teacher

Job Summary
Provide specialized instruction, modifications and accommodations to students with disabilities receiving homebound instruction for 1 hour per day (5 hours per week) with 1 hour per week of prep time for a total of 6 hours per week of work. Follow all due process requirements under the Individual with Disabilities Education Act and Minnesota state statutes. Work collaboratively with building staff. Participate in IEP meetings and facilitate communication between staff and families if necessary.
Job Functions
Provide direct instruction to support students with disabilities receiving virtual homebound instruction for one hour per day.
Serve as liaison between the school and the home for the delivery of instructional services to students who qualify for homebound services in general or special education.
Design virtual lessons to meet the student’s unique needs.
Provide appropriate feedback to the student’s teacher(s) of record regarding student progress during homebound sessions
Apply principles of learning and effective teaching in instructional delivery.
Use a variety of instructional strategies appropriate for teaching students from diverse backgrounds with different learning styles and special needs.
Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
Prepare required reports and maintain all appropriate records.

Current Minnesota Teacher licensure in Special Education. EBD license preferred.
