Special Educational Needs Teacher (SEN) - Immediate hiring

Egypt Education Platform is excited to announce an immediate opening for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher at GEMS British International school of Madinaty. This role is pivotal in providing dedicated support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive academically and socially within an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify the specific educational needs of SEN students and create tailored learning strategies
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct instruction and support to SEN students and facilitate their integration into mainstream classrooms
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed to ensure effectiveness
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to foster an inclusive classroom environment and implement differentiation strategies
• Provide training and support to teaching staff regarding SEN practices and accommodations
• Engage with parents to promote understanding and involvement in their child's education and development
• Stay updated with best practices in special education and participate in continual professional development opportunities
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working with special educational needs students in a school setting
• Strong understanding of SEN legislation, assessment techniques, and effective intervention strategies
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, understanding, and a commitment to promoting the potential of all learners
• Relevant teaching qualifications or certifications in special education or related fields are advantageous
