Special Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them achieve their academic and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Assess students’ abilities and learning needs
• Provide individualized and group instruction
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and therapists
• Monitor and document student progress
• Adapt teaching methods and materials as needed
• Support inclusive classroom practices
• Use assistive technology and adaptive learning tools
• Support students with sensory, emotional, or behavioral needs
• Conduct parent meetings and provide home-support strategies
• Coordinate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists
• Promote social skills development and peer interaction
• Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings
• Conduct workshops or awareness sessions for staff and parents
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding policies
• Support transition planning for students moving between sessions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Special Education
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and dedication

Preferred:

• Experience in inclusive education settings
• Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
