Special Educator Teacher – Preschool

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Special Educator Teacher for a preschool class of children aged 3 to 4 years. The ideal candidate will support children with developmental delays and special educational needs through individualized instruction, inclusive classroom practices, and close collaboration with teachers and parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and support children with special educational needs in a preschool setting
• Prepare and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) appropriate for ages 3–4
• Adapt lesson plans, activities, and learning materials to meet individual needs
• Provide early intervention support focusing on:

Communication and language development
Social and emotional skills
Sensory integration
Fine and gross motor skills

• Observe, assess, and maintain developmental progress records
• Use play-based and child-centered strategies suitable for early years
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Attend meetings, case reviews, and parent consultations as required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education (or related field)
• Degree must be attested by MOFA, Qatar
• Valid Qatar ID (QID) – mandatory
• Training or experience in early childhood special education
• Knowledge of inclusive education practices and early intervention strategies

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with preschool or early years children
• Experience handling children with developmental delays, learning difficulties, or special needs is essential

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of early childhood development
• Patience, empathy, and excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Good communication skills with parents and staff
• Observation, documentation, and reporting skills

Preferred (Added Advantage)

• Experience working in a preschool or nursery setting in Qatar

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
