Special Needs Teacher

Job description:

Chubby Cheeks Nursery is seeking a skilled and committed FEMALE Special Educational Needs Teacher (SEND) to lead the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The SEND Teacher will work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure inclusive and effective educational support for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and provision within the school.
• Identify students with special educational needs and coordinate assessments and interventions.
• Develop and monitor individual education plans (IEPs), support strategies, and provision maps.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to support differentiation and inclusive teaching practices.
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies (e.g., educational psychologists, speech therapists).
• Provide professional guidance, training, and support to staff on SEND matters.
• Ensure statutory responsibilities are met, including EHCP applications, reviews, and documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date records and contribute to reports for inspections and reviews.
• Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education in Special Need (attested by Ministry Of Foreign Affairs)

Demonstrated experience supporting students with special educational needs.

Strong knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practices.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Empathy, patience, and a child-centered approach.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
