Summary

We are looking for a Student Aide to join our team at Tutor Doctor. In this role, you will provide support to an adult, student with special needs (down syndrome) , Mondays 10-1pm and possibly additional days helping them achieve their academic goals. Your contributions will be essential in enhancing the learning experience for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support during live instruction for basic reading comprehension and classwork support
• Assist in monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Facilitate communication between students,and professors regarding educational needs.

Requirements

• Experience or coursework in education or child development is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and families.
• Knowledge of special education practices is required.
• Ability to manage behavior and create a supportive learning atmosphere.
• Familiarity with literacy education strategies is a plus.
