Special Projects Operations Administrator

General Summary

Works collaboratively with Vice Presidents and Administrators on emerging issues, strategic initiatives and program development. Provides coordination and support – including working with consultants and potential partners.


Essential Functions:

  • Works with leadership to develop and support strategic programs and projects which advance the WellSpan Strategic Plan.
  • Builds relationships and communication channels throughout the organization and works to clarify and define processes.
  • Establishes information and frameworks to align current initiatives including a shared file system, historical context, and timeframe for activity.
  • Works on special projects as assigned.

Common Expectations:

  • Develops, establishes and implements goals, objectives, and policies and procedures for department/service line/entity operation, and which guide and support the provision of the department/service line/entity's services.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Qualifications


Minimum Education:

  • Masters Degree Required

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years Health care administration or health care planning Required

Driver's License Statement:

Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good conceptual skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Facilitation skills and business analysis.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer applications.
  • Strong presentation, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare clinical issues and care delivery.
