1. Release RFQs and gathering quotations from suppliers
- Release RFQs related to Transmission and Motor components to new/existing suppliers in North America
- Receiving ballpark, cost estimate, offer sheet or quotations from new/existing suppliers in North America
2. Review the cost and negotiation of Pricing
- Analysis of cost standard and supplier’s cost structure
- Collect and establish cost standard & NA market price by each components
(Material cost, Labor cost, Manufacturing Burden, Amortization of Investment cost, Lump-sum cost etc.)
- Review prime cost and price negotiation of piece price
3. Development of cost competitive and reliable new local suppliers for North America Localization
- Investigate/discover of potential supplier to broaden supplier pool in North America
- Build strategic partnership or long-term partnership for cost competitive suppliers
- Discuss and explain development schedule in according to project milestone an SOP timing to suppliers
4. Cost Reduction
- Review and discuss design specification with suppliers (Material, Engineering Spec., Packaging etc.)
- Investigate potential cost reduction, productivity and VA/VE ideas from suppliers/for each components
