Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards
Ensure implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and the Department policy and guidelines.
Examine, diagnose the overall diseases of the skin and subsequently prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to the assessed medical conditions.
Prepare and review case histories and clinical records and generate very accurate medical reports.
Examine patients, perform biopsies, and other diagnostic techniques of dermatology, and determine requirements for clinical laboratory tests. Interpret test results and evaluate examination findings.
Manage dermatological services and follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
Formulate plans and procedures for dermatological services.
Advice on types and quantity of dermatological supplies and equipment and coordinate dermatological services with other medical activities
Maintain the highest professional standard of documentation in line with policies and
procedures and internationally accepted standards
Trained in performing aesthetic procedures such as:
Botox and Dermal fillers
Chemical peels
Laser treatments
Microneedling
Skin rejuvenation and anti aging therapies
Participate in and help establish the educational programs conducted by medical administration and provide instructions as required to the various departments in the form of a continuing education program.
Contribute to verification of the qualifications and capabilities of all technical personnel as required by Head of Department. Provides leadership for organizational performance improvement activities.
Follows established policies and procedures.
Attend regularly scheduled meeting for the improvement of patient care services and delivery.
Maintains strict confidentiality.
Co-ordinates and exercises overall professional control over the activities of Medical
Registrars for ensuring that sound administrative and professional standards of medical practice are maintained.
