Specialist - Data Engineering

Role description

We are looking for a skilled Informatica/ Data Governance Specialist with handson experience in Data Lineage and Data Catalog as well as metadata management using industrystandard tools The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance and be proficient in SQL Knowledge of Python is an added advantage

Responsibilities

Implement and manage data lineage and data catalog solutions to ensure data traceability and accessibility

Oversee metadata management processes ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of data assets

Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality and compliance

Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data governance practices into data ingestion and processing workflows

Conduct regular audits of data systems to ensure adherence to governance standards

Provide training and support to team members on data governance tools and best practices

Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards to monitor data governance metrics

Requirements

Proven experience in data lineage and data catalog management using tools such as Apache Atlas Collibra or similar

Strong understanding of metadata management principles and practices

Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation

Solid background in data governance including policy development and implementation

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Python is a plus

Certification Python Information Technology Data Science or a related field
