Specialist Engineer - Engineering Affairs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field (with equivalency by the Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education)
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the same or related field
• Proficient in English and Arabic.

Key Accountabilities:

Preventive & Emergency Maintenance

• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency maintenance requests, such as equipment failures, leaks, or other critical issues.
• Coordinate with relevant teams and external service providers to resolve emergency situations efficiently.
• Establish emergency response protocols and ensure the availability of necessary resources and materials.

Operational Process

• Optimize operational processes related to facility management, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with established standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to align engineering processes with organizational goals and objectives.

Internal Security

• Assist in developing security measures and access control systems to safeguard KFAS facilities.
• Collaborate with security personnel to monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches.

Facility Management, Construction & Design

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing engineering affairs and facility management.
• Assist in managing contractors and service providers, ensuring the quality and timeliness of services rendered.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement strategies for energy and resource conservation.
• Provide coaching and guidance to Engineers in tasks and activities to ensure that the quality of work meets the expected standard.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare progress reports accurately and in a timely manner that covers Engineering Affairs activities.
• Collaborate in preparing regular reports, evaluating outcomes, and proposing improvement measures.
• Assist in maintaining organized documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for relevant stakeholders.
• Perform other duties related to the Unit as assigned by the Manager – Engineering Affairs and/or by the Director – Engineering & Administration.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environment management policies, procedures, and controls.
• Assist in conducting regular safety inspections and audits of KFAS facilities, identifying potential hazards and unsafe conditions
