As a Specialist Enterprise Tooling Engineer at Inception, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing the enterprise tooling landscape, ensuring seamless integration and robust governance across the organization. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on engineering to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing tooling solutions that empower both technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Strategic Tooling Roadmap: Define the long-term vision for the Inception enterprise tooling stack, evaluating emerging technologies and retiring legacy tools to maintain an efficient and innovative environment.
• Lifecycle & Access Management: Develop and oversee identity lifecycle processes, including provisioning, RBAC, and automated deprovisioning. Ensure secure SSO integration, promote a "Least Privilege" model, and safeguard intellectual property within all enterprise tools and platforms.
• Enterprise Tooling Governance: Set and enforce governance frameworks and security guardrails for critical platforms, ensuring compliance with Zero Data Retention (ZDR) policies and protecting proprietary assets.
• DevSecOps Integration: Architect and implement advanced security tooling such as SAST, DAST, and GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) within the CI/CD pipeline, enabling proactive threat detection and "Shift-Left" security practices.
• Document processes, procedures, and configurations to support knowledge sharing, operational excellence, and compliance requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in DevOps, cloud tooling, and security best practices, proactively recommending enhancements to strengthen security, efficiency, and developer experience.
• Executive Reporting: Design and deliver automated dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to provide CxO-level insights into developer productivity, tool utilisation, and cloud cost optimisation.
  
  

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps, Tooling, or Platform Engineering.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills; ability to work across teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Security-minded, with knowledge of RBAC, secrets management, and compliance best practices
• Portfolio or examples of hands-on work with relevant tools and platforms are highly desirable
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent.
• Proficient in integrating AI agents and Experience leveraging AI-assisted orchestration and autonomous agents to streamline infrastructure management, automate security compliance, and drive operational excellence.
• Expert Certification: Must hold Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
• GitHub Credential: Must hold (or be able to obtain) GitHub Administration or GitHub Advanced Security certification.
• AI Fluency: Proven experience managing enterprise-grade AI coding assistants and LLM API integrations.
• Infrastructure: Deep mastery of Terraform/Bicep and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
