JOB PURPOSE


The Specialist – Logistics Operations will be responsible for driving cost optimization, operational efficiency, and digital transformation within the logistics function. This role involves managing end-to-end transportation processes, vendor lifecycle, and implementing automation initiatives to enhance service levels and reduce costs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Analysis & Optimization
  • Conduct detailed analysis of pre-primary, primary, and secondary logistics costs.
  • Perform lane-level cost analysis to identify inefficiencies and savings opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate cost provisioning and manage vendor disputes effectively.
  • Vendor Management
  • Develop and maintain a robust vendor funnel for transportation services.
  • Drive new vendor development and onboarding processes.
  • Manage vendor lifecycle, including performance monitoring and compliance.
  • Process & Compliance
  • Validate invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Establish standardized transportation processes for operational excellence.
  • Digital Transformation
  • Lead initiatives for TMS (Transportation Management System) digitalization.
  • Implement freight calculation automation and other tech-driven solutions.
  • Service Improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to enhance service quality.
  • Continuously monitor KPIs to ensure cost reduction and improved delivery performance.


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS


Engineering + Post-graduation Diploma/Degree in (Logistics/Supply Chain Management)

WORK EXPERIENCE


3 to 5 years of experience

CERTIFICATIONS


APICS ( Desirable )


PREFERRED/ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in logistics cost analysis and optimization.
Knowledge of TMS platforms and digital tools for logistics.
Vendor negotiation and relationship management.
Proficiency in invoice validation and dispute resolution.
