Specialist Reporting

Role Overview

The Specialist Reporting is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The role supports month-end and year-end close processes, maintains general ledger integrity, performs financial analysis, and ensures adherence to reporting standards and internal controls. The position works closely with business divisions, sub-ledgers, auditors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial information and insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly closing pack s and financial statement s in a timely and accurate manner
• Process general ledger entries and accrual s, and ensure effective GL monitoring and control
• Liaise with business divisions and sub-ledger teams to ensure timely closure of financial reporting packs
• Prepare aging analyse s and conduct variance analysi s of actual results versus budget
• Perform intercompany reconciliation s and ensure resolution of variances
• Test and validate the accuracy of financial dashboards and report s
• Enforce compliance with financial reporting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirement s.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies as required
• Identify potential reporting and compliance risk s and support development of mitigation strategies
• Perform other tasks and assignments as directed from time to time

Key Skills & Competencie

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools and systems, including Excel and SA P
• Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practice s
• Ability to conduct trend analysis, variance analysis, and exception analysi s to identify unusual movements
• High attention to detail with strong data accuracy and control orientation
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to manage responsibilities independently in a deadline-driven environment

Education & Experiene

• Educatio n: CA Finalist (Finance
• Experienc e: Articles completed from a reputable fi rm, with hands-on exposure to financial reporting, audits, and compliance. Prior industry experience will be an added advantage.
