Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Purchasing:
- Identify and source electronic components from suppliers globally.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
- Manage the procurement of electronic components, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest market trends, component pricing, and supply chain disruptions.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
- Monitor industry developments, new technologies, and components to ensure a competitive sourcing strategy
- Supplier Management:
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, lead time, pricing, and customer service.
- Develop and manage long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms and supply chain stability.
- Resolve any supply chain or quality issues that may arise with suppliers.
- Inventory and Demand Planning:
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to understand component requirements and ensure inventory levels meet production schedules.
- Assist in forecasting demand for electronic components and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
- Cost Management:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality.
- Monitor price fluctuations and recommend actions to mitigate cost impacts.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all sourcing and purchasing activities, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
