Overview
Title: Specialist - Survey of large PV / Wind Farms
Education: Diploma or Graduate in Civil Engineering
Experience: 10-12 years of experience in the field of infrastructure projects
Responsibilities
- Conduct land and building surveys to collect site data, including measurements of distances, angles, elevations, and contours.
- Prepare accurate and detailed survey reports, maps, and documentation.
- Utilize surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and levels to capture precise data.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure survey data meets project requirements.
- Review and verify survey data for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for grading and other topographic requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to draw approvals and resolve survey-related clarifications.
- Provide site support to address any surveying-related queries.
- Optimize quantities to align with bid quantities while fulfilling client requirements.
Technical Expertise
- Proficient in using surveying instruments and related software for data collection and processing.
- Experience in topographic surveys of large areas, boundary surveys, and construction staking.
- Ensure compliance with applicable surveying codes and standards.
- Experience in Renewable energy plants and power sector projects preferred.
- Exposure to international projects is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD software.
Software Skills
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- MS Office tools
- Satellite data processing using QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.
