Job Purpose:
To assess, diagnose, and provide effective therapy for students with speech, language, and communication difficulties, as well as support children with learning challenges to improve their academic and social performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessment & Diagnosis
- Conduct initial assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Identify speech disorders, language delays, and learning difficulties.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on each student’s needs.
2. Therapy & Intervention
- Deliver one-on-one and small group therapy sessions.
- Work on articulation, pronunciation, fluency, and language development.
- Support students with learning difficulties in improving comprehension and communication skills.
- Use engaging and age-appropriate techniques to enhance learning.
3. Progress Monitoring
- Track student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Prepare regular progress reports for parents and management.
- Ensure measurable improvement in student performance.
4. Parent Communication
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress.
- Provide guidance and home strategies to support development outside sessions.
5. Collaboration
- Coordinate with teachers and academic staff to support student development.
- Contribute to developing educational programs and intervention strategies.
6. Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and student data.
- Follow academy policies and professional standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy or related field.
- Relevant experience in speech therapy and/or learning support (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with children of different age groups.
- Patient, compassionate, and professional attitude.
Pay: AED75.00 - AED100.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
