Speech and Language Therapist (Pediatric / Autism Specialist)

Alia National School & Alia Autism Center in Bahrain is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team supporting children and young adults with autism and communication challenges.
The successful candidate will provide evidence-based speech and language interventions within both school and therapy settings, working closely with educators, ABA therapists, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Provide therapy targeting communication, language development, articulation, and social communication skills.
  • Support students with autism using evidence-based approaches (e.g., PECS, AAC, functional communication training).
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistency across environments.
  • Develop communication programs and classroom strategies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and progress tracking.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy / Speech Pathology.
  • Licensed/eligible for licensing in Bahrain (NHRA preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pediatrics or autism.
  • Experience with AAC systems, PECS, and social communication interventions preferred.
  • Strong understanding of autism and communication disorders.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
