Sports Marketing Internship

Are you passionate about sports and eager to make a dynamic impact in the marketing world? We’re seeking an energetic and motivated Sports Marketing Intern to join our SOAR Media team to support digital media and content execution for our client, a Major League Rugby team. This paid position focuses on live content capture, social media support, and real-time storytelling during training sessions, matches, and community events. You will work directly with the marketing team to help execute social strategy, maintain brand consistency, and help drive fan engagement across platforms. Responsibilities

• Assist with live social media coverage during matches, training sessions, and events
• Capture photo and video content for real-time posting and future content use
• Support live posting across Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Help organize media assets for post-match recaps and ongoing campaigns
• Assist with short-form video editing and basic graphic updates
• Monitor social channels for engagement and fan interaction during events
• Follow brand guidelines and content direction from SOAR Media and Seattle Seawolves staff
• Support pre-match and post-match content workflows
• Collaborate with marketing staff, photographers, and content creators on-site

Qualifications

• Interest in sports marketing, digital media, or content creation
• Experience with social media platforms and short-form content trends
• Comfortable working in fast-paced live event environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction quickly
• Basic photo and video editing skills preferred
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during matchdays
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel independently to training sessions, home matches, and team events
• Comfortable working on-site at Starfire Sports Complex and other local event locations
• Previous sports media, photography, or live event experience is a plus
• Knowledge of rugby is a major plus but not required
