Sports nutritionist will support Charlotte FC on a fulltime basis. Professional travel will be required based on soccer schedule.
Pay Range

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree and >5 years' experience OR master's degree with >3 years' experience in Dietetics, Food, Nutrition or related field.
Certification / License
Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of applicable state within 3 months of hire; required temporary license within 30 days to practice per state law.
Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) preferred OR within 1 year of hire. CSSD to be maintained thereafter.
ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification preferred OR within 1 year of hire. To be maintained thereafter.
Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletics.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, non-traditional work hours, and overnight travel as needed
Engage in continuing professional education, especially relevant to sports nutrition, and be willing to participate in research if the opportunity arises and publish findings where possible.
Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and policies for dietary supplements such as WADA/USADA, Drug Free Sport and relevant governing bodies.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires sitting, standing, reaching, stretching, and lifting 25 – 50 pounds.

Sports Dietitians are experienced registered dietitians who obtain further academic and clinical training in the field of sports nutrition and can become board certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD). Advocate Health sports dietitians provide services to our sports medicine contracts and partners. Sports dietitians apply evidence-based nutrition knowledge in exercise and sports.They assess, educate, and counsel athletes and active individuals.
