Job Summary

The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to vehicles, furniture, metal parts, or other surfaces using spray equipment. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of surface preparation techniques, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishing work while ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming according to required specifications.
  • Mix paints and match colors accurately based on job requirements.
  • Operate spray guns and other painting equipment to apply paint or coatings evenly and professionally.
  • Inspect painted surfaces to ensure smooth finish, proper coverage, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform touch-ups and correct painting defects such as runs, drips, and uneven coating.
  • Maintain and clean spray painting tools, spray booths, and equipment regularly.
  • Follow safety procedures related to paint chemicals, ventilation, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work with supervisors to plan workload and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Keep records of materials used, paint batches, and completed tasks.
  • Ensure workplace cleanliness and adherence to company safety and quality guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Spray Painter in automotive, industrial, or furniture painting.
  • Knowledge of painting materials, paint mixing, and surface preparation techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand technical instructions, color charts, and specifications.
  • Skilled in using spray guns, sanding tools, primers, and finishing products.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Understanding of safety practices related to chemicals and painting environments.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certification in spray painting or automotive refinishing is an advantage.
  • UAE- 2–5 years of relevant experience in automotive

Working Conditions

  • Work may involve exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, noise, and dust.
  • Use of PPE such as masks, gloves, and safety glasses is mandatory.
  • May require standing for long hours and working in spray booths or workshops.
