Spring Production Costume Designer

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of the specific club’s content area (preferred but not required).
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable

• Building Principal and/or Athletic Director

SUPERVISES:

JOB GOAL(S):

Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision for students participating in a school sponsored extracurricular club, organization, or activity in order to enhance student learning, promote the overall efficiency of the school system, and maximize the educational opportunities available to each child.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, organize, and supervise events, and activities of the assigned club.
• Recruit and encourage student participation, ensuring equitable access for all students
• Serve as a positive role model, promoting school engagement and leadership development.
• Ensure student safety and adherence to school district policies during all activities.
• Collaborate with administration regarding schedules, budgets, and facility use.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain accurate records of membership, attendance, finances, and events as required
• Communicate as needed with students, parents, staff, and administration regarding club activities.
• Monitor and support student academic eligibility for participation if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This is school year stipend based position

Stipend and schedule to be reviewed in accordance with Board Policy of the Iowa City Community School District.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the District’s policy on Evaluation, State Statute, and any applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
