The Division:
Ibcos Computers Ltd is the UK’s leading provider of Dealership Management Software to the Agricultural, Construction and Ground Care industries. We help Dealers manage all areas of their business operations from parts and service, through to sales and finance, with innovative solutions to achieve their business objectives.
The Position
To be a QA Analyst as a member of the Data and Reporting team, to take ownership of QA activities throughout the full life cycle of the development process. Ensures the data quality (accuracy, completeness, and reliability) across the organisation’s systems and analytics platforms. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data quality frameworks, proactively identifying issues, and collaborating within cross-functional teams to ensure business decisions are based on trusted data.
The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-centre team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Key Responsibilities

Provide guidance to the Data and Reporting team on QA practices

Ensure the output of the Data and Reporting team reaches the desired level of quality.

Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation scripts for datasets, reports, and dashboards.

Lead data validation, regression, and functional testing across data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting systems.
-
Design and implement automated data quality checks and monitoring processes.
-
Document defects, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and follow up with relevant teams.

Perform root cause analysis of recurring data issues and implement preventive measures.
-
Work with analysts to improve data architecture and transformation processes. Track and report on recurring data quality issues.

Track and report on data quality metrics, highlighting trends and recommending improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
-
Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
-
1–2 years of hands-on experience in a QA or software testing role, preferably within data integration, data migration, or reporting projects.

Proficiency in using API testing tools.
-
Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
-
Demonstrated experience in data profiling, root cause analysis, and automation of QA processes.

Proven track record of improving data quality processes in a production environment.
Desirable:

Familiarity with ETL platforms and data pipeline validation.

Hands-on experience with Cypress for automated testing.
-
Working knowledge of Power BI for reporting validation.

Exposure to Apache NiFi or similar data flow tools.
