The Division

The Position

We are looking to hire a SQA Analyst having hands-on experience and expertise both in manual and automation testing, to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases.

The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in manual and automated software testing.
  • Hands-on in using Playwright for browser automation and familiarity with other testing frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience in developing automation test scripts, executing automation tests & analyzing test results.
  • Proficiency in robust programming languages such as Typescript, and/or JavaScript.
  • Experience and proficiency in manual testing, approaches/techniques, and test planning.
  • Good understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Working experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes.
  • Understand how to select HTML elements using distinct types of selectors, such as CSS selectors, XPath, and more.
  • Attentive to details, has a responsible attitude to the tasks assigned, fast learner.
  • Excellent organizational skills – have the ability for timely decision-making, problem-solving, and execution of a number of complex tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Demonstrate a willingness for technical learning: researching new QA techniques; self-development of technical knowledge and skills to do with the job.
  • Maintains composure and a positive attitude, can handle stress, and doesn’t show frustration when resisted or blocked.
