SQA Automation Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated SQA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions for web applications and APIs. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through efficient test automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium, or similar automation frameworks
• Create and execute automated regression, smoke, and integration test suites
• Develop and maintain API automation tests using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools
• Analyze requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution
• Collaborate with development teams to improve software quality and testability
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor and maintain automation test execution reports
• Perform manual testing when required for new features and exploratory testing
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, processes, and testing standards
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and quality assurance activities throughout the SDLC

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on Automation Testing
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks
• Strong experience in API testing and automation using Postman or equivalent tools
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and JSON/XML data formats
• Experience with test automation frameworks and best practices
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation/testing
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright and modern automation frameworks
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker
