SQA Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with a strong background in Fintech applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our digital financial products, including web, mobile, and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, UI, and performance testing.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure product quality.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Validate fintech domain features such as payment flows, transaction processing, user onboarding/KYC, compliance rules, and security flows.
• Perform API testing using Postman / Swagger / JMeter / similar tools.
• Ensure test coverage for microservices, third-party integrations, and payment gateways.
• Assist in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) – preferred but not mandatory.
• Participate in sprint planning, QA reviews, and continuous improvement processes.
• Ensure product compliance with financial security standards, data integrity, and performance benchmarks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on SQA experience, preferably in the Fintech domain.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with tools such as:
• JIRA / Azure DevOps
• Postman, Swagger
• Selenium / Cypress (optional but preferred)
• JMeter / LoadRunner (for performance testing)
• Solid knowledge of API testing, database testing (SQL), and automation basics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Fintech concepts including payments, wallets, KYC, compliance, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mobile testing (Android/iOS).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Exposure to secure coding/testing standards (OWASP, PCI-DSS compliance).
