SQA Engineer

Technosoft Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to maintain quality standards across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure testability and clarity.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate defect-tracking tools.
• Perform various testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and project managers to resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings as part of Agile/Scrum teams.
• Ensure compliance with defined QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Assist in improving QA methodologies, tools, and processes for better efficiency and coverage.
• Mentor junior QA team members when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 02+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and SDLC/STLC.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and basic exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or REST clients.
• Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification. (Nice to have)
