Sr. Account Executive - West & Central Regions - Remote

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive responsible for promoting and selling software solutions to new and existing clients. This role focuses on solutions supporting elections, voter registration, and ethics/compliance management.

The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for building a strong pipeline, developing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across the Western and Central regions of the United States. Key target clients include state-level agencies, election commissions, and city and county government entities, with the goal of expanding adoption of technology that enhances transparency and public trust in government.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline across core solution areas.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan targeting state and local government entities.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including state officials, clerks, and ethics commissions.

  • Manage the full sales cycle-from prospecting and qualification through discovery, demonstration, negotiation, and closing.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, product, and customer success) to align solutions with client needs and outcomes.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and relevant solution areas.

  • Maintain knowledge of election laws, ethics regulations, and compliance standards to effectively position solutions.

  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, government meetings, and networking events.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting using CRM tools.

  • Lead and coordinate sales efforts, working cross-functionally to drive successful outcomes.


Experience and Skills:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 7+ years of field sales experience, including at least 3 years selling into government or public sector organizations.

  • Proven track record of selling software solutions to state and local government clients.

  • Strong understanding of election processes, ethics compliance, and regulatory environments.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to build trust with executive-level stakeholders.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to navigate complex political and procurement environments.

  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience selling SaaS solutions within the public sector.

  • Experience working with channel partners and resellers.

  • Familiarity with areas such as lobbying, campaign finance, business services, or election systems.

  • Experience with structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC).
