Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organisation’s financial health. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining accurate financial reporting.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Prepare, analyse, and review financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Utilise various accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other financial management tools to maintain precise records.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing detailed financial analysis.
- Assist with internal audits and coordinate external audit processes as required.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering professional development within the team.
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies regarding financial controls and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organisational growth initiatives through accurate financial insights.
- Strong hands-on experience in GST Returns applicable to Jewellery Industry
(GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Return, E-Way Bills, HSN compliance)
- Complete knowledge of TDS Filing & Statutory Compliance
- Expertise in Stock Accounting, including:
- Gold, Diamond & Jewellery Inventory
- Karat-wise & purity-wise reconciliation
- Job work accounting & wastage tracking
- Experience in Finalization of Accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet
- Coordination with Auditors, GST Consultants & Tax Authorities
- Understanding of Retail Showroom & Manufacturing Accounts
- Willingness to learn and grow in Financial Analytics & MIS Reporting
- Strong analytical mindset and long-term career vision

Skills
- Proven expertise in financial accounting and management within a corporate environment.
- Extensive experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, zoho ,PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of financial services regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated mentoring abilities to support the development of junior team members.
- Proficiency in accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
