Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Role requires a strong understanding of financial analysis, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance, as well as the ability to provide strategic financial insights to senior management. Will also lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and financial excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
2. Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.
3. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to ensure that the company meets its financial targets.
4. Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring that all financial data is accurately reflected and reported on time.
5. Perform reconciliations of accounts, ensuring that balances match and investigating discrepancies when necessary.
6. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and help in preparing tax returns. Assist in audits, both internal and external, to ensure adherence to tax laws.
7. Monitor cash flow and assist in managing working capital to optimize liquidity.
8. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations for cost reduction and process improvements.
9. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
10. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
11. Oversee the cost allocation process and ensure that accounting systems and software are properly maintained and updated.
12. Supervise junior accountants, providing guidance, training, and development to ensure a high standard of accounting practices.
13. Stay updated on financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
14. Present financial reports and insights to management, supporting decision-making with accurate and timely financial data.
15. Support payroll processing in coordination with the HR department.
16. Performs other duties assigned.
