Sr. Accountant / Accounting Manager – Full Time

Garry A Jones & Associates is a Westlake Village California business services and CPA firm seeking an experienced team member addition.

While we are a well-established firm, we provide comprehensive financial, accounting, tax and business solutions for a wide variety of clients. We do not perform certified audits or reviews due to our proactive consulting approach.

We service our clients in multiple capacities including, but not limited to controller, accounting manager, accounting department support, income tax preparation and representation, forensic matters, etc.

The firm’s current work efforts are 50% income tax and 50% bookkeeping, accounting, consulting, and forensics.

Employment

· Full Time Employee

· $35 - $45 per hour wage

· In office

· Very moderate overtime

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

· Deadline-oriented

· Problem solver

· Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite

· Ability to manage staff and participate in team projects

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Superior organizational and analytical skills

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Tax knowledgeable – individual and corporate a plus

Job Duties

· Perform month end accounting closings using procedural checklists

· Prepare management reporting packages

· Execute accounting and managerial processes

· Schedule and manage staff and projects

· Implement / improve processes and procedures

· Client communications

· Assist CPAs with personal and business tax returns

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or Finance

· Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience

· Proficient with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office

· CPA or EA designation a plus

· Desire to learn and grow

· Positive attitude, team player

· Geographically local.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
