Position: Senior Accounts Executive - Costing (Preferred- Manufacturing , or Expertise in Cost Analysis)

Experience: Minimum 3-4 years

Office Timing: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Job overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manufacturing Cost Accountant and Analyst to oversee all costing and financial accounting activities for our manufacturing plants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining cost reports, analyzing manufacturing variances, and providing actionable insights to management to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

1. Costing and profitability analysis

• Prepare and generate costing and profitability data for each manufacturing plant, considering different product and raw material combinations.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of costs per unit for different products to identify trends, cost drivers, and areas for improvement.
• Perform thorough variance analysis by comparing actual costs to standard costs for material, labour, and overheads.
• Analyze process and weight loss variances, investigating root causes for significant deviations and recommending corrective actions to production management.

2. Manufacturing accounting and closing

• Manage the day-to-day accounting for the manufacturing department, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Supervise the daily closing of entries and verify payment details according to the schedule.
• Lead monthly closure activities, including preparing and passing journal entries for process loss and other manufacturing variances.
• Coordinate with plant managers and operational teams to verify physical stock details and ensure inventory accuracy at month-end.

3. Reporting and compliance

• Prepare and present accurate and timely Management Information System (MIS) reports to senior management.
• Generate monthly, plant-wise profitability reports for each manufacturing facility, providing strategic insights on performance.
• Ensure that all documentation, contracts, and agreements related to manufacturing are compliant with company policies and legal regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis related to cost and inventory.

Qualifications and skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. MBA or CA Inter equivalent certification preferred
• Experience: Relevant experience as a Cost Accountant or Analyst, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical skills:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial modeling).
• Experience in Latest Tally prime Version.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and internal controls.
• Soft skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production and management. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
